Start 2020 off with a Stress Shift!


Dear Friend of Stress Shifter,

Welcome to a new year and a new decade. Even though it seems like a new year comes, unless we make a shift inside it is likely it will be the same.  As Einstein has famously said, "the definition of insanity is continuing to do the same thing over and over and expecting a different result."  

Our perception of what is real is highly influenced by our beliefs about what is real.  At one time many people believed the earth was flat, despite all the evidence to the contrary. (See article below on "We Can Learn from History...")  We have many beliefs about being stressed that make us believe that this is a normal way to live. Of course, our stress response system has an important function to play to alert us to danger and mobilize our inner strength to meet challenges.  However, when we don't believe we are safe physically and socially, our stress response system doesn't turn off leading to chronic stress, inflammation, and dis-ease.

How to find an inner safe space, where we can relax, feel calm and be at ease is a life skill we can learn and practice each day.  We didn't get the manual in school on how to run our brain operating system to know how to manage stress effectively.  But now there is a course to teach how to upgrade the old brain operating system programs that keep us stuck in fear, anxiety, worry, and stress. 

This is the Stress Shifter Skills Course that teaches four key skills to transform stress to be more calm, centered, and creative.  By learning how to skillfully shift stress will free up our energy and passion to live more fully and peacefully.  By learning how to mindfully focus on what is triggering our stress, this course will provide valuable insights in how our brain functions and to learn to not take being "stressed out" so personally.   We often mistake the way our brain fires off reactions seemingly illogically as a flaw in ourselves.   By learning how to rewire our brains, we can discover new neural pathways to our inner self that may surprise us as to how incredible we really are.
