If you go to bed at night thinking about all the tasks you didn’t get completed or get started that day, or worse yet, thinking about how you now have to add those tasks to the ones you need to complete tomorrow, you have now given yourself a good opportunity to have trouble getting to sleep, and likely not getting a good night’s sleep. I have found that a much better method of dealing with this tendency is to think of all the good things that happened or that I enjoyed or accomplished that day. This approach has worked so well for me that I use it every night, even when things are not bothering me at the end of the day. Trying to solve problems while laying in bed at night doesn’t make for a good sleep!
